Bush On Board For United 93
You know it’s a slow news week when George Bush watching a movie makes the headlines. But hey, let’s give the guy a break; he needs some time to relax in between golfing sessions.
According to Hollywood Reporter, President Bush will kick back and watch Paul Greengrass’s movie United 93 on Tuesday night in the White House. He will be joined by his wife Laura, and family members who died on the doomed 9/11 flight.
The film, shot in real time documentary-style, is about the passengers on United 93, taken over by al Qaeda hijackers. Their trip ended tragically, and the movie does a great job of projecting what may have happened on board. Says White House spokesman Dana Perino, "The president has always said that ... the passengers and the crew members on the flight were heroes".
However, he doesn't share those loving feelings for Al Gore. When asked by the press if he would see his global warming documentary An Inconvenient Truth, Bush retorted, "Doubt it". Can't win 'em all.
