The Captain America: Civil War Super Bowl Trailer Is Thrilling, Watch It Now
The next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting closer and the tension is getting so thick you can cut it with a knife. After so many films where we’ve had a chance to know and love each of these characters, they now find themselves on opposite sides. The Super Bowl spot for Captain America: Civil War showed us exactly how high the stakes have become, and drive home the message of united we stand, and divided we fall. Check out the amazing-ness below!
Anyone else feel their hearts pumping something serious right now? There’s still no sign of Tom Holland as the new Peter Parker/Spider-Man in this Captain America: Civil War footage (courtesy of JoBlo), but what is on display is seriously intense. Within a matter of a few seconds, we see Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) use his glove to stop a bullet courtesy of Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan):
An airport full-on explode in front of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson):
And epic reveals of both Team Captain America – including Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Winter Soldier:
And Team Iron Man – including Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Vision (Paul Bettany), Black Widow, and War Machine (Don Cheadle):
Obviously not a lot of plot can be jammed into what amounts to not even 30 seconds of Captain America: Civil War footage, but this Super Bowl trailer most definitely does an excellent job of demonstrating the epic tone that the blockbuster will have and some of the key rivalries that we can expect to show up.
