Captain America Sequel Wants YOU To Be In It
After Cleveland got blown to smithereens for the sake of The Avengers, the Ohio city apparently wanted more from where that came from. They're preparing to open their doors up to another Marvel production, and as Captain America: The Winter Soldier gets ready to blow into town, they're also giving local Clevelandites a chance to get in on the action.
A casting call at Cleveland Film (via Coming Soon) says the shoot is looking for paid extras in scenes to be shot in Cleveland in April and May. They're looking for both adults and kids, and all you have to do is show up at the casting call on April 19 or 20, wearing business attire and not lining up early. Oh, and bringing a pen is important too. Here's the full info below:
Being an extra is pretty demanding the work-- and in the case of one Transformers extra, extremely dangerous-- but you know it would've been cool to see yourself running out of the rubble in that big Avengers fight sequence. It's just too bad Captain America: The Winter Soldier won't be a period film like Captain America: The First Avenger, because getting dolled-up in period clothes ought to make any extra gig more fun.
The Captain America sequel, which is set for an April 4, 2014 release, finds Chris Evans reprising his role as the all-American hero, in a story that's been described by Marvel President Kevin Feige as a "political thriller." Joe and Anthony Russo, veterans of TV's Community, will be directing, and among the names they've added to the cast for this go-round are Robert Redford, Frank Grillo and Anthony Mackie.
