A Cast Blooms In Grey Gardens
The fascination with the Kennedys has a long history, and as it turns out, an ever-expanding future.
According to Variety, a new movie called Grey Gardens is on the horizon. The drama is about two eccentric relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy. Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange have been cast in the leading roles and will play socialites Little and Big Edie, respectively.
The story is about how they made headlines after the health department threatened to seize their flea and raccoon infested estate in East Hampton, NY. Jackie Onassis herself stepped forward to try and rescue her family from public humiliation, which is probably the only reason that this is news. Michael Sucsy wrote the script and will make his feature directing debut with the project.
Grey Gardens will cover a time span of 40 years, and shooting begins this summer.
