Channing Tatum And His Co-Stars Go Topless In New Magic Mike Stills
Earlier this morning Katey had the opportunity to sit down with director Steven Soderbergh to talk about the upcoming Haywire, but the conversation also drifted to the filmmaker's next project: Magic Mike. During the interview, Soderbergh talked about the Robert Altman-like nature of the film, his return to comedy, and even a bit about the cinematography and choreography. You can read all about it HERE, but now two new stills from the male stripper film, which stars Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer and Matthew McConaughey, have surfaced online.
Scope out the two leads doing their best Chippendales impression below and head over to EW to also get a look at Matt Bomer shirtless and on stage.
I have to admit that I was relieved when Soderbergh revealed that this movie is a comedy. For a while I was worried that the Traffic director was going to try and make a serious movie about dudes he take their gear off for a living and I couldn't help but think about the incredible disaster that was Showgirls. I still have no idea how a movie with Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer in the two leads is going to work, but at least they will be purposefully trying to make us laugh.
Magic Mike also stars Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Cody Horn and Riley Keough, Gabriel Iglesias, Adam Rodriguez, Betsy Brandt, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Olivia Munn. The film hits theaters on June 29 and you can learn more about it over in our Blend Film Database.
