Check Out Batman v Superman's Sleek Batwing
The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer that dropped earlier this month gave us many brief glimpses at some very cool stuff. One such item is the brand new version of the Batwing, which has now been revealed in full thanks to some leaked concept art. Check it out below:
The post comes to us from scooper Umberto Gonzalez’s Instagram account, though it’s not explained where he actually got the image from. As you can see, this is far from your typical Batwing, and it’s certainly much sleeker than the last version of the vehicle we saw, specifically The Bat in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. This version looks much more stealthy, and as though it could glide around the atmosphere of Gotham without being noticed. That is, unless it wants to be noticed. Case in point:
It’s also interesting to point out that the Batwing actually looks quite a bit different from the front than it does from the back. The joined wings in the front definitely take attention when seen from the front angle, but from the back you really can’t notice them – presumably because they are on the same level as the cockpit.
What’s unclear at this point is exactly how the Batwing is going to factor into the action in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the trailer, it looks like Batman is actually firing at a group of people on the ground who are shooting machine guns at him, but why? One also has to wonder if the vehicle may play a factor in the Dark Knight’s battle with the Man of Steel in that the former can use it to try and stop the latter from just flying away.
All answers will be revealed in time, but for now we’ll just have to wait and see what Ben Affleck winds up doing with this crazy flying machine. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to be released by Warner Bros. on March 25, 2016.
