Check Out The Captain America Blu-Ray Trailer And What You'll Get With The October Release
In a summer of superhero origin stories that did extremely well at the box office, Captain America: The First Avenger did not disappoint. Perhaps we can attribute this to star Chris Evans's likability and handsomeness, or perhaps we can attribute it to a well put-together story in a world where superhero movies still garner large audiences. Either way, if you missed the boat or are a huge fan, Captain America: The First Avenger will hit 3D Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray, and DVD on October 25.
Because of Captain America’s 3D success, the Paramount/Marvel co-production will be available in a 3D Limited Edition combo pack (Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Copy), which will sport the same extras as the regular Blu-Ray. Boy, is the Blu-Ray the best way to go with this release. DVD copies will come with commentary as its only bonus feature and 3D copies will cost an arm and a leg, meaning over fifty bucks.
If you do spring for the limited 3D edition or the Blu-Ray, you will get the commentary with director Joe Johnston, as well as other crew members Shelly Johnson and Jeff Ford. With the other extras, Paramount seems hellbent on expressing each was created in HD, probably as a way to back themselves up if audiences bitch about the measly DVD release. The “HD” extras include deleted scenes and a bunch of featurettes.
Featurettes will include:
- Outfitting a Hero HD
- The Transformation HD
- Behind The Skull HD
- Joe Simon HD
- The Assembly Begins HD
- Heightened Technology HD
- The Invaders HD
- Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer HD
To commemorate its upcoming release, Marvel has released a special Blu-Ray Trailer. Check it out below.
