Check Out Concept Art Of Adam Sandler's Dracula In Hotel Transylvania
Adam Sandler has only lent his voice to two movies and both turned out pretty damn awful. The first was Eight Crazy Nights, the animated film that was meant to capitalize on Sandler's famous "Chanukah Song" and the other was this past summer's Zookeeper. Both projects were absolutely trashed by critics (they have an average score of 13% on Rotten Tomatoes) but perhaps the third time will the charm. As first reported back in July, Sandler is set to be the voice of Dracula in the upcoming animated comedy Hotel Transylvania and today, in celebration of Halloween, Sony Pictures Animation has released three concept draws of the character.
Check out the images below and see them full-size over on the official Facebook page.
While I can't say the same for the second and third images, is anyone else reminded of Ren & Stimpy by the first picture? There's just something about the shape of the eyes and the curve of the mouth that reminds me of Powered Toast Man (to the point that I can't help but think they are by the same animator).
Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, the same guy who brought you Samurai Jack, Hotel Transylvania is about an exclusive resort for monsters run by Dracula that starts going to hell when a boy finds the resort and falls him love with Dracula's daughter. In addition to Sandler, the film also features the vocal talents of Steve Buscemi, Kevin James, David Spade, Andy Samberg, Fran Drescher, Molly Shannon and Cee-Lo. The film will be released on September 21, 2012.
