I have to admit I haven’t heard much about Next Day Air, despite the fact that the trailer is now out. At first look, you’ve got quite the interesting cast here, from Donald Faison (who doesn’t get enough work outside of Scrubs if you ask me) to Mike Epps and Mos Def, both looking to be more serious with their roles here.
The trailer unveils the story of a mixed up delivery of drugs in a manner that reminds me of Eight Heads in a Duffel Bag. What is hard to distinguish from the trailer, however, is who has the central storyline here. If it’s advertising the film properly, this is an ensemble piece that will put as much weight on a disgruntled delivery man as it does on the drug dealers who don’t get the package they are looking for. Sounds pretty cool to me. The description on the movie’s website seems to indicate Faison’s is the leading story though, which is equally cool.
