Chenoweth Trades Daniels For DeVito

Kristin Chenoweth, whom you may remember as the bosomy wife of Jeff Daniels’ character in last week’s number one movie R.V., has moved on to playing movie wife for another big star. She’s trading in Daniels for DeVito, and signing on to the holiday comedy Deck the Halls, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film is yet another warring neighbors movie, at least one of these is released a year. As always happens, one neighbor decides to over-decorate his house for Christmas. The other neighbor becomes annoyed, declares war, and engages in dirty tricks like hosing down his opponent’s sidewalk right before a big freeze. Usually movies like this star the creatively bankrupt Tim Allen or the blessedly retired Chevy Chase, but this one stars Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick.

Deck the Halls starts shooting at the end of this month, so they’ll be able to rush it through production in time for a holiday release date. Fox is targeting November 22nd as their best time to cash in on the Holiday spirit.
