Chris Klein Officially Set For American Reunion
When Alyson Hannigan joined the cast of American Reunion - the next installment in the American Pie franchise - last week, I was fairly surprise. After all, she works on an incredibly successful television show and has legions of fans who love her more for playing Willow on Buffy The Vampire Slayer than Michelle the band geek. This bit of news isn't quite as shocking.
People is reporting that Chris Klein has officially signed on to return as Chris "Oz" Ostreicher in the third American Pie sequel. In addition to Hannigan, Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy are all confirmed to return, leaving Thomas Ian Nicholas and Eddie Kaye Thomas as the only two principal actors who have appeared in all three previous films but have not yet signed on. Production is scheduled to begin on May 24.
While American Reunion could very well change everything, I will never think of Chris Klein as Oz from American Pie ever again. After his groundbreaking, award-worthy performance in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li, how could I?
