Inception is an obvious pick for the most anticipated movie of 2010-- Christopher Nolan's next film already boasts a crazy trailer, a superb cast, and oh yeah, the tagline "From the director of The Dark Knight." While Nolan is still keeping quiet as to exactly what the hell this movie is about, he talked to The Los Angeles Times recently about the scale of the movie-- and actually claimed it's the biggest he's ever made.

“This is the biggest challenge I’ve taken on to this point,” he told them. “We’re trying to tell a story on a massive scale, a true blockbuster scale – the biggest I’ve ever been involved with. We tried to make a very large-scale film with The Dark Knight and with this one we wanted to push that even further.”

He also compared the tone of the film to the "globetrotting sensibility" of the James Bond films: "We get to do that here, not just geographically but also in time and dimensions of reality as well. We get to make a movie that’s expansive, I suppose you’d say, in four dimensions.” It's an interesting comparison for Nolan, an Englishman whose best-known films take on a quintessentially American hero.

As excited I am to see the actual movie Inception, I'm almost more interested to hear Christopher Nolan finally talk about it. The guy is clearly brimming with big ideas, and whatever Inception turns out to be, it will likely be one of the biggest. There will be a lot of questions to be asked about this one for sure, and presumably, eventually Nolan will be able to give some answers.
