Christopher Nolan Promises No More Batman Movies, Plus Inception Video Game
Treating the new cycle like a petulant child that has to be scolded once in a while, Christopher Nolan has made it crystal clear yet again that The Dark Knight Rises will be his final Batman film, just as Christian Bale suggested a few weeks ago. Talking to EW, Nolan used some pretty definitive language, calling TDK Rises "the last chapter of our Batman saga."
Interestingly enough, though, he left the door open for more Inception stories, definitely in video game form but quite possibly as a movie sequel. No, seriously.
If you want to hang your hat on something more likely to actually happen, though, here's his ideas for an Inception video game, which is actually in the works:
Nolan not ruling out an Inception sequel is new to me, and I'm actually kind of surprised to hear him talk about it that way-- I'd expect him to give a quick "No way, Jose" and move on. Of course, it still seems incredibly unlikely to happen, so we'll probably need to stick to the video game for the further adventures of Eames, Arthur and all the rest.
