Cinema Con Video Blog: What I Learned About Captain America And Thor

The first big studio presentation of Cinema Con belonged to Paramount, the studio behind two giant superhero projects-- Captain America and Thor-- as well as original sci-fi film Super 8 plus animated movies Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss in Boots. They had all kinds of talent on hand tonight to talk it up, ranging from Thor himself Chris Hemsworth and Kung Fu Panda 2 voice star Jack Black (who did some kung fu right there on the stage) to multihyphenate J.J. Abrams, who gave the same presentation of Super 8 footage that I wrote about from New York last week, but remained as charming and enigmatic as ever.
I already brought you the biggest scoop from the night-- that Jeremy Renner, as Hawkeye, is indeed making an appearance in Thor, but for the rest of my thoughts on the presentation, including showing off another bit of Super 8 swag, check out the video blog below. I'll be trying to do a lot more of these videos as the week goes on, since it's hard to write anything conclusive about footage that's distinctly rough, and the videos will hopefully give you guys an idea of what it's like to be at the convention. Check out the video, helpfully filmed by James Rocchi of MSN Movies, and let me know what you want to see more of in the comments.
