A Closer Look At Hugh Jackman As Jean Valjean For Les Miserables

Just a week ago, we got a glimpse of what Hugh Jackman will look like in the upcoming Tom Hooper directed Les Miserables. And yesterday, we shared two more photos from the movie, one of which featured Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert, while the other gave us a better look at Jackman in costume. Yet another photo has made its way online, and this one gives us a close-up look at Jackman and the impressive beard he’s sporting for the role.

Hugh Jackman is set to play protagonist Jean Valjean in the star-filled feature adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic French novel, Les Miserables. The image below, which Jackman tweeted this week gives us a closer look at his face, and the tiniest glimpse of his costume.

We also get a slightly better look at his hair situation in the above photo. As hinted in the previously posted photos, it looks like he has substantially more hair on his face than he does on his head. Jackman calls it his "convict look" in his tweet, but says it's changing soon.

What do you think? Does Jackman look like he’ll make a good Prisoner 24601?

Les Miserables is set to debut in theaters December 14. In addition to Jackman, the film stars Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Helena Bonham Carter, and Sacha Baron Cohen. More information on the film can be found in our Blend Film Database.
