Comic Con Poster For The Mist
I’m really looking forward to Frank Darabont’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist. While Darabont has done a great job with two of King’s more dramatic tales, it’ll be interesting to see the director’s approach to a more straightforward thriller.
While there wasn’t a ton of details about the upcoming November release at Comic Con this weekend, they did have a poster being handed out. Finally there’s been a clear image of the poster placed online by Upcoming Horror Movies.
Take a look at a smaller version of the poster below (or head to UHM for a larger version). It’s an interesting assembly of images; the grocery store, the frustrated face, and the subtle title.
A lot of The Mist is psychological in nature, so it’ll be interesting to see how Darabont handles it. The story benefits from a first-person perspective, which is harder to pull off in movie form without a sometimes-agonizing voice over narrative. Still, Darabont hasn’t failed yet, so I’m intrigued to see what he does with it.
