Coolidge Cox Blocks
Greg Coolidge's new comedy Employee of the Month hits theaters this coming weekend, but he's already working on another project. For his next movie he's upgrading from Dax Shepard and Dane Cook to Seann William Scott and Topher Grace. Wait, is that an upgrade? Maybe it's more of a lateral move, but Topher Grace is in Spider-Man 3 and that trumps even a MySpace generated comedian/product.
Production Weekly says Coolidge is in the middle of pre-production on a comedy called Coxblocker. As he did for Employee of the Month, he'll write and direct again.
The subject, as you might have guessed, is cock blocking. Except the MPAA doesn't take kindly to the word "cock" so they threw an "x" into the title instead of a "ck" and suddenly everyone's happy. Topher will play the conveniently named William Cox, a guy with women trouble until he meets the girl of his dreams. One problem though, her ex-boyfriend (Seann William Scott) is also her best friend. She's over him, but he's not over her, and hilarity ensues when he works behind the scenes to get her back by blocking Topher from hooking up. And by hooking up I mean having crazy, wild, heterosexual sex.
