Corey Haim May Not Get Lost
I’m already getting tired of the resurgence of Corey Feldman and Corey Haim. Making matters worse is the needless sequel to that fantastic vampire movie, Lost Boys. News of Haim not being invited back for a cameo appearance for Lost Boys: The Tribe, got a lot of attention when it prompted Haim to break down on camera during the duo’s reality show. The result ended up getting Haim a part in the sequel after all, but MTV says all may not be well after all.
Apparently last week Corey Feldman left for Vancouver to film his parts for the sequel. Haim, on the other hand, did not. This was completely contradictory to Haim’s recent enthusiasm for appearing in the sequel, so what happened?
Well, it turns out Haim is facing “logistical obstacles” (according to his manager – he still has one of those?). That’s the fancy way to describe immigration issues that have popped up, keeping Haim from traveling across the border to Canada. While Warner Brothers is working to resolve the issues, Feldman has made his trip. Does this mean Feldman is being held in Canada while these “logistical obstacles” are being cleared up, or is the show going on without Haim? I’d bet the latter, and I’d bet it’ll make for a heck of an episode of “The Two Coreys.”
This is movie news since the inclusion of both Coreys, and the attention it got on television, has potentially set the sequel up for a theatrical release instead of the direct-to-DVD initial plan. If Haim isn’t involved, will a theatrical run still be considered? After all, either way the movie gets more attention on the Coreys’ show.
