Actors Hugh Dancy and Krysten Ritter have been added to Disney’s upcoming Confession of a Shopaholic. The Hollywood Reporter says the film is based on U.K. author Sophie Kinsella’s best-selling series about a fiscally irresponsible woman who pens a financial advice column. Isla Fisher will star as the titular shopaholic. Dancy will play the editor of the magazine where Fisher works and Ritter will fill the romantic comedy’s requisite “kooky best friend” role.

Doe eyed Dancy appeared as a love interest The Jane Austen Bookclub. Other credits include the last summer's soppy Evening, and Ridley Scott's Blackhawk Down”. Ritter, a former model, has had roles on television shows “The Gilmore Girls” and “Veronica Mars” (yeah, I had to to look her up, too). She has a role in the upcoming “27 Dresses”, starring Katherine Heigl and released nationwide on Friday, January 18th.

Jerry Bruckheimer, the man behind icky TV gore-fest CSI and the massively successful Pirates of the Caribbean films is producingConfessions of a Shopaholic. Luckily, veteran romantic comedy director P.J Hogan is directing (I don't care what anybody says, My Best Friend's Wedding is hilarious). Shopaholic will be filmed in New York and Connecticut, transplanting the story from its original London setting. Expect angry letters from British chick-lit aficionados everywhere.
