First he helped Abigail Breslin become Little Miss Sunshine, now Paul Dano is out for blood. The young actor is the latest to sign on to Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming period piece There Will Be Blood, loosely based on Upton Sinclair’s Oil!.
Dano may be relatively new to the acting world but he’s gotten attached to quite a few notable upcoming films. He will appear in Fast Food Nation and is providing a voice (and presumably motion capture performance) for Where the Wild Things Are. For Paul Thomas Anderson’s film Dano will play a young preacher opposite a oil tycoon played by Daniel Day Lewis.
With names like Day Lewis, Anderson, and Spike Jonze surrounding Dano there’s no doubt he’s quickly going to become a name to watch. For now, Little Miss Sunshine is already in a limited run and opens nationwide in just a few weeks.
