Dark Knight Already Sold Out
If you’re planning to see The Dark Knight, you might want to consider buying tickets… right now. Even though the movie’s release is more than 16 days away, the folks over at MovieTickets.com tell us that already at least 100 showings of the movie are completely sold out.
Since odds are it’ll open on at least 4,000 screens, that still leaves 3,900 theaters in which to see it. Don’t expect it to stay that way very long. If showings are already full this far out, the odds of being able to walk up to a theater anywhere opening night and simply buy a ticket on the spot are virtually nil. The Dark Knight hype is already out of control, and it’s really just getting started. Over the next few weeks Warner Brothers will really start hitting us with their marketing pitch, and as we speak billboards and city-block sized building advertisements are popping up all over the country, ready to turn the already over-the-top Dark Knight hype into a nearly rabid frenzy. Get clicking and buy your tickets, while you still can.
