While the 12:01 poster for midnight screenings of The Amazing Spider-Man didn't really wow us, we've seen some great ones in recent months. I'm proud to say that I have midnight posters for both John Carter and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol on my walls and with any luck I'll be able to add one for The Dark Knight Rises as well.
Fandango has premiered the poster, which I must say is pretty badass. The way the shadows are drawn mixed with the shape of the mask almost makes Bane's head look like a skull from a distance. The poster will be available nationwide, but only at 12:01am IMAX screenings on July 20th. You can see the one-sheet below and head over to Fandango to see it full size.
Warner Bros. has also released a brand new TV spot, which highlights more of the film's humor and even features a great cameo from one of my favorite comedian character actors. Enjoy!
The Dark Knight Rises, director Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman film, sees the superhero fighting against the evil Bane for the future of Gotham. Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman all return for another go and the film's expansive cast also includes Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Matthew Modine, Juno Temple and Josh Pence.
