Darwin Bio-Pic In The Works
According to Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection, the stronger and favorable traits of a species are more likely to survive than unfavorable ones in reproduction. Apparently, this theory does not apply to the film world where horrible movies are released every week and devoured by the populace. What better way to prove Darwin wrong than to make a movie about his relationship with his family as he pursues his highly-controversial work on evolution? Well, that’s exactly what’s happening, according to Filmstalker .
The film will be based on the Darwin biography "Annie’s Box", written by Randal Keynes, Darwin’s great grandson, and centers on the death of Darwin’s young daughter, Annie, which leads Darwin to his faith. John Collee (Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World) is drafting the script, while Jon Amiel (Entrapment and The Core) will direct. So, what traits do you think will survive when you combine a lame screenwriter and an even lamer director?
