Deadpool Is Being Released Digitally Earlier Than We Thought

Wade Wilson has really never been very good when it comes to sticking with a plan. He’s scatterbrained, he constantly gets distracted, and he always forgets his ammo bag just about everywhere he goes. It makes him endlessly endearing on screen, but it also creates problems for his misadventures. Now it seems that Deadpool couldn’t even stick to a plan when it comes to his solo film’s home release, and we as fans are going to reap the benefits; Ryan Reynolds has just revealed that Deadpool will become available on Digital HD this coming Tuesday.

In true Deadpool fashion, Ryan Reynolds released the hilarious above tweet in order to let his fans know that Deadpool would soon become available on Digital HD. The tweet features a wonderful double entendre, with Wade Wilson explaining, "I’m coming early," in reference to the bumped up release schedule.

It remains unclear why FOX even decided to movie up the home release of Deadpool. Up until recently we had been under the impression that Deadpool wouldn’t become available until well into next month. At this point it seems like they just wanted an opportunity to make that "coming early" joke, and we love them for that. However, despite this awesome news, we will still have to wait for the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Deadpool. While audiences can enjoy the film on Digital HD by next week, the film’s hard copy release remains a month away on May 20.

Although it will be great to simply be able to see the record-breaking R-rated superhero movie again next week, the special features available on the hard copy release are what have us really excited. In addition to a copy of the film, the Blu-Ray and DVD copies of Deadpool will also include numerous extras, including: a gag reel, deleted scenes, audio commentary, concept galleries, and something referred to as "Deadpool’s Fun Sack." I don’t exactly know what Deadpool’s fun sack is, but based on what’s in the movie I’m dying to find out.

We will keep you posted with all of the latest and greatest Deadpool information as it becomes available to us. The Merc with the Mouth will come early on Tuesday of next week, be sure to check it out.
