Making the jump from TV heartthrob to silver screen majesty, Patrick “McWhoGivesAShit” Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy) will star opposite Michelle Monaghan (North Country, Mission: Impossible III) in Made of Honor, a sure-fire Rom-Com from Columbia Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter .
The ridiculous plot follows the relationship between Dempsey’s and Monaghan’s characters who have been friends for a decade. When Dempsey’s character decides to stop being an ass and settle down, Monaghan is engaged. Hilarity ensues when she asks Dempsey to be her maid of honor and he agrees in an attempt to sweep the bride to be off her feet.
Paul Weiland, of City Slickers 2: The Legend of Curly’s Gold fame, is contracted to direct the screenplay by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont (Can’t Hardly Wait, which is based off a script by Adam Sztykiel, a writer for the 2001 MTV Movie Awards. Shooting on the disastrous script is schedule to start in April. Just enough time to get the movie out by the holidays to cash in on the “feel good” season. Suddenly, I’m not feeling so well…
