Dennis Quaid To Play Bill Clinton
Writing Frost/Nixon has somehow earned Peter Morgan a directing career. Variety says he’s set to helm The Special Relationship, a movie about the relationship between British Prime Minister Tony Blair and President Bill Clinton, back in the 90s, when it was still cool to be an American president.
Dennis Quaid is set to star as Clinton while Frost half of the Frost/Nixon equation Michael Sheen, will play Blair. Julianne Moore is also on board to portray Hillary Clinton.
Sheen has a British accent so that makes him as good as Tony Blair for most Americans. He also has experience at the job, having played Blair previously in The Queen. Dennis Quaid on the other hand, his upcoming appearance in G.I. Joe notwithstanding, is dangerously close to becoming a serious actor. Getting presidential could be the thing that pushes him over the top. I still say he should have gotten Oscar attention for Far From Heaven.
