Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline And More Hunt For A Lost Dog In First Darling Companion Trailer
Talented ensemble casts can't always guarantee a great movie. Sometimes all of the money is given to the actors while the not-so-great script is just assumed to be good enough. Sometimes actors just want to work with other famous actors or directors and don't care about the quality of the project. We can only hope that won't hold true for Darling Companion, the new movie from director Lawrence Kasdan. The filmmaker's first writer/director effort since 2003's Dreamcatcher, Darling Companion brings together a group of all-stars, including Kevin Kline, Diane Keaton, Richard Jenkins, Dianne Wiest, Sam Shepard, Mark Duplass, Elizabeth Moss and Ayelet Zurer. Now the first trailer for the film has arrived online, which you can scope out below, courtesy of Yahoo!
The film is about a woman named Beth (Keaton) who regularly feels ignored by her husband (Kline) because he is so involved with his job. One day, she discovers an injured dog along the side of the freeway and decides to adopt him. Seeing the animal as a closer companion than her husband, Beth becomes much happier...but that all changes when the dog runs away after a family wedding. Beth gets the remaining guests to help her search for her dog and along the way each pair on the hunt grows in some way. Look for the movie when it's released on April 20 and read more about it over in our Blend Film Database.
