News has been pouring out about Lawrence Kasdan's Darling Companion this week. First came the news on Tuesday that Kevin Kline, Richard Jenkins and Diane Keaton were joining the cast, and then Wednesday saw the addition of Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss. Just when you thought the cast couldn't get any better...
A press release has been sent out announcing that that Dianne Wiest, Mark Duplass, Ayelet Zurer and Sam Shepard have joined the cast. In the film, Keaton and Kline play Beth and Joseph, a married couple that is disrupted when Keaton brings home a lost dog that she finds on the side of the freeway. While attending their daughter's wedding in the Colorado Rockies, Joseph loses the dog and Beth, who has formed a strong bond with the animal, gets the guests and a "mysterious young woman" (Zurer) to help her search for it. While searching, each member "is affected by the adventure, which takes them in unexpected directions – comic, harrowing, and sometimes deeply emotional." Outside of Keaton, Kline and Zurer none of the other cast members are given descriptions, but one can assume that they will be playing the other members of the search party.
