Disney Does Peter Pan... Again
Haven't we had enough Peter Pan movies lately? Apparently not, since this next one's going to be a little bit different from the rest.
Empire Online is reporting that "Peter and the Starcatchers", a novel that serves as a sort of origins story for the boy who never grew up, will be made into a movie. Of course, Disney is the driving force behind this little project. Details are sketchy, but it looks like the movie will be done in CG animation.
The book, for those who are into that reading books thing, is a pretty good one and die hard Peter Pan fans really dig it. OK, the one guy who I know who is a die hard Peter Pan fan (hey Darin!) really digs it, and that's good enough for me. Ridley Pearson and Dave Barry wrote the novel and it apparently plays with people who enjoy Barry's clever wit and Pearson's wonderful story telling style. No details yet on when production on the movie will begin.
