The Doom movie footage showed at Comic Con supposedly went over like gangbusters, but then I get the feeling that those Con geeks will go nuts for pretty much anything. I suppose I might too if I were actually there. It's an atmospheric thing.
Well, now courtesy of IGN the first teaser trailer for the film version of the popular outer space demon slaying video game has hit the web. Interesting fact, though it stars "The Rock", apparently he's not the lead character, Karl Urban is. "The Rock" was offered the lead but liked the secondary character he's playing better. Now if he'd only get picky enough to be in better movies.
The trailer looks dark. Literally. The version available for download is ridiculously dark, I have absolutely no idea what's going on in any of it. Maybe it's just my screen, or maybe IGN is trying to force people to pay for their service so they can get the larger (and presumably viewable) version they have available on a restricted basis.
