Dragonball Movie Gets A Title Change?
Advertising for Fox’s upcoming Dragonball movie has been conspicuously absent here in the United States, now we may know why: They have figured out what to call it yet.
According to ComingSoon.net they may be changing the title from Dragonball to Dragonball Evolution. Apparently the studio has even gone so far as to register the domain DragonballEvolutionMovie.com.
Could this be why we haven’t seen so much as a poster for the film here in the United States, while in Asia it seems to be on the cover of every other magazine? Maybe Fox just hasn’t decided what they want to do with it yet. Right now the movie has an April 2009 release date, so they still have a few months to decide.
Based on the popular, long-running anime series of the same name, Dragonball is the story of a young warrior named Goku on a quest to collect six magical orbs. If he gets them, he’ll gain unlimited power. If he doesn’t get them, then the bad guy will… and that would be bad… because he’s not the kind of guy you want having unlimited power.
