We all remember the gender switcheroo that took place in Ellen Barkin's Switch back in the early 90's. Or at least I do. She was a man who woke up in a woman's body, and couldn't stop touching her own breasts in awe.
Another movie in that realm (minus the groping) is being released soon for the tween crowd. Hollywood Reporter says it's called It's A Boy Girl Thing, starring Samaire Armstrong and Kevin Zegers. Nick Hurran is directing and Geoff Deane has written the script.
The movie is about two teenage next-door neighbors that hate each other's guts. No Dawson's Creek ladder-climbing love affair going on here. One morning when they wake up, they realize they are in each other's bodies. Rather than flip out as to where their genitalia has gone, they set out to mess up one another's reputation at school.
Since I am clearly not the demographic for this movie, I'll refrain from sharing my judgements. I will however say that Sharon Osbourne is co-starring. Judge amongst yourselves.
