Dunst Sees Demons
Kirsten Dunst hasn't done a horror movie since she was the freaky vampire kid in 1994's Interview with a Vampire. She got that part because she's naturally creepy, and her creepiness never really abated once she hit adulthood. She's got Wednesday Adams face, and there's no getting around it.
So it's kind of a shame that she's been away from monster movies for so long. Being scary looking is her natural state, and she's finally getting back to embracing it. The Hollywood Reporter says Paramount Vantage has acquired the rights to a novel called "A Jealous Ghost", with the intent to develop it as a project for Kirsten to star in and produce.
The proposed adaptation of the novel will cast Kirsten as a young student in London who starts seeing demons after striking up a relationship with her professor. Why she sees them and what's driving her is the thrust of the book's exploration, and though they're departing from the book quite a bit for the film, that much will likely remain the same.
Kirsten Dunst can currently be seen in theaters as the star of Sofia Coppola's not-as-bad-as-the-reviews movie Marie-Antoinette. Next up, she's takes her last spin in Spider-Man's web for Spider-Man 3.
