Eli Roth is bestowing some of his horror movie mojo on to an up-and-comer. Production Weekly is confirming, or at least re-reporting, earlier Bloody Disgusting reports that Daniel Stamm will be directing Cotton, a horror project cooked up by Roth and fellow producers Marc Abraham and Eric Newman.

Stamm's previous film was the faux-documentary A Necessary Death, which should prepare him well for this next project. The movie is also a fake doc, about an evangelical minister who is apparently trying to get out of the exorcism game. Like any good confidence man, CIA agent or anyone else a movie has ever been about, he decides to do one last exorcism. But just like the jewel thief he goes in for one final score, things happen that he never could have expected.
