Emma Stone Will Play Gwen Stacy In Spider-Man Reboot
When the news broke on Saturday that Emma Stone would be offered the role of Mary Jane Watson in Sony's upcoming Spider-Man reboot, I was over the moon. With her red hair and beauty, she was a natural fit for the role. As it turns out, however, Stone wasn't offered Mary Jane at all. Instead, it turns out that the initial reports of "no Mary Jane" were 100% true.
Sony has issued a press release officially announcing that Stone will be playing the role of Gwen Stacy opposite Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker in Marc Webb's superhero film. The news will no doubt come as a surprise to everyone, because of Stone's locks, but the truth is this: she's actually a blonde who dyed her hair at Judd Apatow's request for Superbad.
