Eva Longoria Shows Texas Flavor
Eva Longoria, who can currently be seen in space via a huge Maxim billboard in the Las Vegas desert, is hoping for a career on the big screen. She can be seen this weekend in The Sentinel and she’ll be returning shortly to her home state for her next feature.
Variety reports that Longoria will star in Deep In The Heart Of Texas for Touchstone Pictures. The film, big shock, will be shot in Texas and is based on a pitch by Pam Buchignati and Lynnette Ramirez.
The story is about a spoiled Beverly Hills diva (Longoria) who is out of her element when she is relocated to San Antonio to run the new Latin division of an ad company. She is out of touch with her Mexican roots and doesn’t speak Spanish, which poses problems when her new boss, a gringo urban cowboy, speaks the language fluently and is deeply in touch with his heritage.
Production will begin in summer during a hiatus of “Desperate Housewives”, which Longoria recently announced she may be abandoning, like the rest of us. You go, girl.
