Ex Sells
Uma Thurman is not someone to be tampered with. She wields a mean sword and can stomp you with her amazon woman appendages. Don't cross her or you just might end up in the emergency room, or even worse, trapped in tabloid hell.
For her latest movie Super Ex, Variety reports that she will be accompanied by funnyman Luke Wilson. Ivan Reitman is directing the comedy after a long hiatus following 2001's Evolution, and Don Payne has written the screenplay. He is credited with several episodes of "The Simpsons", which is enough of a sales pitch.
The story is about a superhero (Thurman) who falls in love with a regular joe (Wilson). He is fine with dating a girl who has superhuman capabilities, but he finds her neediness annoying and dumps her. Instead of crying into her pillow and consuming bowls of ice cream, she vouches instead to use her powers to make his life unbearable. And people complain that women over-react, ha!
Regency Pictures is distributing the movie and filming will begin in New York this fall.
