The Best Man Holiday is headed onto Blu-ray and DVD this week, in a set that is jam-packed with laughs, as well as plenty of tender moments. Universal Studios Home Entertainment is behind the release, and to celebrate the set, the studio has given us an exclusive sneak peek at one of the Blu-ray extras, which interviews the cast on how they felt about reuniting for the new movie.
It’s easy to forget this ensemble cast has been together before. Way back in 1999, the cast was put together for The Best Man, a situational comedy focused around a wedding. Nearly fifteen years later, the cast returned for the new film, The Best Man Holiday, to tell a story that updates fans on the original film, including Lance and Harper’s careers, hurt feelings due to friends sleeping with friends, and much, much more. It’s a movie you can still watch without investing in the first film, but it’s a movie that’s also better when you can tie together the threads from the first flick, and its awesome that director Malcolm D. Lee was able to bring the integral cast members back for the new movie.
It also seems as if the cast members were all happy to work together again. In the clip, Melissa De Sousa talks about enjoying working with all the "eye candy," while writer Malcolm D. Lee takes a more practical approach. All of the people who pop up in the clip have a lot of nice things to say about working on the set of The Best Man Holiday, and it shows in the final product.

The Blu-ray set, especially, comes with a slew of extras, including an alternate ending and plenty of deleted scenes. Fans of the flick will have to shell out a little extra for the Blu-ray set, but depending on your love of the film as a whole, it might be worth it.
