Exclusive Officer Down Clip Talks Crooked Cops And Interrogations
There are certain cops who don’t take too kindly to dirty cops. Anchor Bay’s new movie, Officer Down, explores this concept, as well as the idea of a bad cop looking for redemption. The film will get a limited theatrical release on January 18 and then will be heading to Blu-ray and DVD on January 22. Now, to get fans excited for the drama and action flick, and to show off some of the film’s star leads, Anchor Bay is premiering an exclusive clip from the film.
Angel alum David Boreanaz has spent the last several years perfecting his ability to play a cop through the quirky procedural Bones. In the Officer Down clip, the actor takes his usual stance, sitting down with a bad guy (in this case, a rapist) and that rapist’s lawyer to chat about the crimes his crew is investigating. The clip investigates how the department played a role in the rapes and the potential cover-up that might ensue. It’s actually an interesting angle for a film to take, and while we only get a window into the movie, it’s certainly an intriguing start.
As the exclusive clip shows, Officer Down actually has a slew of famous names involved, including Academy Award winner James Woods, Stephen Dorff, and AnnaLynne McCord. If you’ve already been keeping tabs on the flick, you should be aware that Officer Down will be Soulja Boy’s movie debut. While the Blu-ray and DVD sets don't come with any bonus features, it may be worth a watch for the people involved, alone.
