New Expendables 2 Stills Show Off The Gang's First Female Member
Sly Stallone's first Expendables movies was the definition of a boy's club. While there were some members of the fairer sex in the movie, like Giselle Itie and Charisma Carpenter, it was the men that were all of the action and violence. That will change in The Expendables 2. In the sequel, the returning cast members are joined by Chinese actress Yu Nan and she won't simply be the damsel in distress. Instead she'll be kicking ass and taking names with the rest of the gang. With the exception of the leaked poster from a while back, however, Nan has been absent from the marketing thus far, which has included both a teaser trailer and an official poster. So today is her day in the spotlight.
An Expendables 2 blog (via Twitch) has uncovered two new stills from the film that feature Nan alongside Stallone's Barney Ross. See both images below and full size over at the source.
The Expendables 2, directed by Simon West, stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, Jean Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film arrives in theaters on August 17 and you can learn all about it over in our Blend Film Database.
