Fifty Shades Of Grey Super Bowl Trailer Is Steamy And Just A Tiny Bit Funny

Fifty Shades of Grey arrives in theaters later this month, so the timing was perfect for the steamy romance to drop a new TV spot during the Super Bowl. Check it out below...

While the film is expected to a mixture of sexy, dramatic and romantic, the previews have offered the faintest hint of humor here and there. In the case of the above TV spot, there's Anastasia Steele's innocent response to Christian Grey inviting her into his "playroom," which she assumes is where he keeps his X-Box. More like XXX, Ana.

We're seeing a lot of the same footage in these Fifty Shades of Grey trailers, including Ana seeing Christian by his helicopter, her walk through his apartment, and their steamy kiss in the elevator. All of that's included in the Super Bowl spot, however we get a bit more of that scene, which includes the door opening to a bunch of businessmen who might have gotten an eyeful of sexual tension...

Ana doesn't seem all that embarrassed by the intrusion.

Based on the first novel in a trilogy of books by E.L. James, Fifty Shades of Grey stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as Ana and Christian respectively. The former is a virginal college grad, the latter a troubled billionaire with an appreciation for the rougher side of sex. The highly anticipated feature adaptation has been directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and hits theaters this month, just in time for Valentine's Day. As expected, it'll be rated R.

Those who can't wait to catch a glimpse of Christian Grey's posh Seatlle apartment can take a virtual tour over at ChristianGreysApartment.com.

Fifty Shades of Grey arrives in theaters February 13.

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
