Final Poster For G.I. Joe: Retaliation
There are some days when I think that Photoshop should be banned from Hollywood. The industry used to constantly produce posters that could be seen as legitimate art, but nowadays it's more likely that we see fake fireballs, floating heads and ridiculously over-airbrushed faces. It's likely that nothing will ever be as terrible as the character posters released for X-Men: First Class (those will forever live in infamy), but now we have the final poster for G.I. Joe: Retaliation and it proves that while it may not be the worst, there are still many, many different kinds of bad.
Coming Soon has debuted the new one-sheet for the upcoming action film and between Dwayne Johnson's overly-smooth face and the odd placement of the characters this is basically a full-on Photoshop disaster. You can check out the poster below and head over to the source to see it full size.
What makes this so disappointing is that the character posters that came out a few weeks ago were actually pretty cool. I guess you win some and you lose some.
Directed by Jon Chu, G.I. Joe: Retaliation stars Johnson, Adrianne Palicki and D.J. Cotrona as the last surviving members of the G.I. Joe team after an ambush leaves everyone else dead. They then begin to work together along with the original Joe (Bruce Willis) to find out who set them up and work to take them down. The movie also stars Ray Stevenson, Ray Park, Joseph Mazzello, Elodie Yung, Walton Goggins, Byung-hun Lee and Jonathan Pryce. The film arrives in theaters on June 29th and you can read more about it in our Blend Film Database.
