When Linda Fiorentino isn’t developing documentaries about research in juvenile diabetes and autism, another documentary about discrimination against Italian-Americans and a daytime TV show about parenting techniques, she resurrecting dead Russian poets by optioning the life story of Anna Akhmatova. Just who exactly is Fiorentino? When she’s not crusading for a cause that you should feel ashamed about ignoring, you can find her in the video store under the titles Men In Black and Dogma.
In addition to producer, Fiorentino might also star in and direct her seemingly fictitious project, according to Variety. It may be that Fiorentino will use Akhmatova’s work, including the popular “Requiem” that was written during the height of Stalinist terror, to cover up her own reputation of fighting aliens or God.
