First Freddy Krueger Victim Cast

It's hard to imagine any casting news about the upcoming A Nightmare on Elm Street that's bigger than Jackie Earle Haley playing Freddy Krueger. So just accept that knowledge now, and try not to be too disappointed when you're asked to care about a list of up-and-comers signing on to be terrorized and probably killed by Rorschach in a striped shirt.

The first one up to the plate will be Kyle Gallner, who was similarly terrorized by ghosts and ghouls in The Haunting in Connecticut a few weeks ago. Variety writes that his role, Quentin, will be one of the main characters, which means he might survive until the last 20 minutes-- or maybe even hang on until a sequel!
