First Image Of Smurfette From The New Smurfs Movie
As bloodcurdlingly awful the trailers have been for the upcoming Yogi Bear, there are few trailer from this year that did more to crush my hopes, dreams and spirit more than the teaser for The Smurfs. Between the use of Tone Loc's "Wild Thing" and the tagline "This Ain't Your Parents' Smurfs," the short trailer ranks as the second worst one I've seen this year, its only competition being Sir Billi (please, for the love of god, don't click on that link). I do, however, report movie news, so when there's news on a movie, I'm obligated to report about it - that's why I'm writing a story about the new Smurfette.
Found as part of promotion for FAO Schwartz's Toys for Tots auction, Coming Soon has revealed the first image of the only female in the village. The winner of the auction will receive one of four prizes, including tickets to the premiere of the new movie, which is due out next August. The other prizes include tickets to see Disney on Ice, access to the Nickelodeon Mega Music Fest 2011 and a tour of New York City. Obviously it's for a good cause, so I might recommend offering a lot of money, but going after one of the four prizes that doesn't handily crush souls. Anyway, check out the first image of Smurfette below.
