Remember how adventure used to have a name? Well, the 80s are over, despite what a certain crystal skull wants you to believe, and now it’s vengeance that gets its own title. At least, that’s what the people behind Punisher: War Zone want you to believe with their four new teaser posters for the movie.
All four of them feature essentially a variation on the same image, with Ray Stevenson in his Punisher getup, looking pensive and brandishing a gun. Lionsgate is apparently hoping this third attempt at a Punisher franchise will be the trick, but there’s not much in these posters that makes the movie seem all that different from any other testosterone-packed action movie.
