Full Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens Theater List
This morning it looked like only nine movie theaters nationwide would be showing the special early teaser trailer for the hotly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but it turns out that list only consisted of the Regal Cinemas that were participating in the event. In actuality, there will be 30 theaters around the United States and Canada playing the 88-second long first look footage, and now all of those locations have been identified.
As you can see above, the folks over at StarWars.com have published the full list of theaters that will be screening the first ever Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. It’s been confirmed that it will be a very short clip, clocking in at just 88-seconds long, but it will be playing in front of all screenings in the specific cinema locations starting on Friday morning, November 28th. It will, however, be expanding to a nationwide release in December - though a specific date isn't mentioned on the site.
Doing his part to tease the event, J.J. Abrams posted a special note titled "Thanksgiving" on the official Bad Robot Twitter page, which you can see below:
