Ghost Rider 2 Will Shoot In 3D
If there is any movie I care less about than Ghost Rider 2, I haven’t found it yet. It doesn’t matter who is directing it or who is writing it' there’s no reason for anyone to be excited for a sequel to a movie as bad as the original was. That said, it was confirmed today by Romanian news site HotNews that the flaming skull will be filming in 3D in that country, finding the only way to make me care even less about this sequel. Whoopee!
Crank directors Neveldine and Taylor were the last rumored team to be taking over the sequel and they may at least be able to put something together that looks nice. The main problem will be the story and the acting. David S. Goyer is returning to pen the script and while he did give us the recent Batman updates, he’s also produced some true shit in his career, so it’s kind of a crapshoot whether or not this next Ghost Rider piece will be worth anything. Couple that with the current Nic Cage paycheck mentality and the end result will undoubtedly be a disaster.
But at least it’ll be a disaster in 3D, right? Neveldine and Taylor have a very unique way of shooting, doing most of it themselves with small cameras (Gamer was shot on the RED) from roller blades or other means of personal transport, so 3D cameras may hinder them a bit. It’ll be interesting to see what they come out with, but something tells me that seeing a trailer will be enough to cure me of my curiosity.
