Those who have been closely following the production of Paul Feig's Ghostbusters already know that the movie is going to feature at least a couple of interesting cameos - but now there is word circulating about a completely different kind of special appearance. While previous reports have noted that the new film will feature appearances from the original's stars, now a new report is saying that the reboot will have a scene featuring none other than heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne.

Ghostbusters is currently filming up in Boston, Mass., so it's appropriate that this story comes from the Boston Herald. According to the report, last week saw the action-comedy production take over the local Citi Wang Theatre for a special "heavy-metal concert scene." Since filming took place, there have been questions about exactly what was going on inside, but now it seems that details have been revealed. There were reportedly posters hung up outside the theater that said the venue was being used for a "Rock Revenge Fest featuring Ozzy Osbourne," and specifically a "12 Hour Marathon of Metal."

Exactly how this concert fits into the plot of the movie is currently a mystery - though it wouldn't be horribly surprising if the place is just being used as a set piece for an epic ghost attack. It's not exactly hard to imagine ghosts attacking Ozzy, leading the Black Sabbath singer to mumble some kind of funny one-liner. He'd probably get a kick out of all the chaos.

The movie is being based on a script by Katie Dippold and Paul Feig, and will begin centering around Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy's characters - friends who pen a book about how ghosts actually exist. Years later this book surfaces while Wiig's character is working as a professor at Columbia University, and she winds up being forced to quit as a result. This leads her on a path to join the team that will wind up being known as the Ghostbusters, and save the city from sure destruction.

In addition to Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and a few special guests, Ghostbusters also stars Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia, Neil Casey, Michael K. Williams, Cecily Strong, and Matt Walsh. See it in theaters July 15, 2016.
