Renaissance man Rain is the biggest pop star in Asia right now, and maybe even the entire world-- he sings, he dances, he acts, and yet thus far in the United States, he's best known for a feud with Stephen Colbert. That's all about to change with Ninja Assassin, the new film from V for Vendetta director James McTeigue, in which Rain plays a man raised since childhood as a ninja, but forced to fight against everything he grew up believing when he discovers his master's dark side.
Set in Berlin and Japan, with probably more action scenes for its running time than any other movie this year, Ninja Assassin is a crazy, gory, totally over-the-top movie-- trust me, I've seen it.
